El Cebollar peak
Tour description
At an altitude of 1942m, Mount Cebollar stands vigilant over the Ordesa and Bujaruelo Valleys. This marvelous peak Offers spectacular views of Ordesa and Mondarruego, as well as of the Ara Valley, which can be observed in all its glory from its inception in the Navarre Bridge, where the Arazas and Ara river come together to form a single flow of water. Furthermore, you will also be able to observe the L-shape formed by the valleys of Ordesa and Torla.
Excellent bird’s eye views of Ordesa, Punta Acuta, Ara Valley, Bujaruelo, Mount Viganamale, and Peña Otal.
At this very spot, you can also see the San Miguel chapel dating from the fifteenth century, an ancient human settlement which reminds us of the long existing presence of human activity on this land.
Here, you will find it easy to spot vultures…
Black pine forests, in perfect harmony with grazing mountain pastures, make up a paradise for mycology lovers.
Agriculture and grazing both exemplify the human use of mountain resources, while still preserving land terracing in the so-called “fajas”. Here we can also find typical local huts, some still in perfect condition.
